Your prices and margins stay yours.
Job Manager holds your customers, your prices and what each job cost you. Here's how we keep them safe.
“nvisin started with a simple frustration: the reports we sent every month were careful and correct, and hardly anyone read them. Every tool we build fixes that for one industry, so your work reaches your clients clearly, under your name.”Jake, founder of nvisin
What our customers say.
“Quote goes here.”
Questions contractors ask
Who is Job Manager for?
Trades and contractors who quote, schedule and invoice their own jobs: electricians, roofers, plumbers, HVAC, renovators and general contractors, from a one-truck operation to a company with several crews.
Can my crew use it?
Yes. Everyone who signs in gets owner, staff or view-only access. Your crew list itself doesn't need logins: add each person with their cost per hour, put them on jobs, and log their hours from the office or a phone.
How does it work out profit per job?
Each quote line has a price and, if you like, your expected cost, so you see the margin before you start. As the work happens, hours are costed at each person's rate on that day, and materials, rentals, subs and permits are added as you buy them. The job shows actual profit against the quote.
Can customers pay online?
Not yet. Invoices print or save as a PDF with your payment terms and how to pay, and Job Manager tracks what is unpaid and overdue. Online payments and accepting quotes online are on the roadmap.
Does it connect to QuickBooks?
Not yet. Sending invoices to QuickBooks Online is planned, using the same QuickBooks connection other nvisin tools already use.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs in the browser on a computer, tablet or phone. Your team signs in with their own email and password.
Who uses Job Manager
Turn a call into a quote, a booked job and an invoice with your logo, with the hours and materials on every job.
Your price list starts with a first-hour service call, an after-hours rate, main drain clearing, sewer camera inspections and water heater installs, so most quotes take a minute. Parts and permits are recorded on the job, so a repipe shows what it really made.
Build quotes from labour and materials, schedule the crew, and see which invoices are overdue.
Quote service calls, panel upgrades and EV charger installs from your own price list, with permit and inspection fees on their own line. Electrician and apprentice hours are costed at each person's rate.
Quote installs and service calls, put techs on the week's schedule, and see what each job really made.
Start with job types for tune-ups, repairs, furnace, AC and heat pump installs and maintenance plans, and price list lines for diagnostics and twice-a-year plan visits. Equipment and subcontracted work are counted against the quote on every install.
Quote reroofs, repairs, gutters, siding, decks and fences, and see what each one really made.
Price list lines for tear-off and reshingle, extra layers, sheathing, ice and water shield, ridge vents, seamless gutters and disposal bins. Insurance claims can be their own job type.
Plan the week's crews and properties, and invoice each customer when the work is done.
Job types for mowing, spring and fall cleanups, landscaping projects and maintenance contracts, with per-visit prices on your price list and mulch, sod or stump grinding added as extra lines.
Sell seasonal contracts and per-visit plowing, salting and shovelling, and invoice each customer at the end of the month.
Your quote note spells out the season and the snowfall that brings the plow, and per-visit driveway and parking lot work comes straight from your price list.
Put each crew on the week's cleans and invoice every customer from the same place.
Price regular, deep and move-out cleans per visit, with extras like inside the oven or fridge, carpets and windows ready on your price list.
Quote repairs, track hours and parts on each job, and know which invoices are still unpaid.
Start with your shop rate and lines for diagnostics, oil changes, brake pads per axle, alignments and tires, with shop supplies on their own line.
Questions for your trade
Can Job Manager be set up for my trade?
Yes. Pick your kind of work (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, landscaping, snow removal, cleaning, auto repair and more) and we fill in your job types, a starting labour rate, payment terms, quote and invoice notes and a starter price list. You can change all of it later in Settings.
Can I charge for permits, disposal bins or subcontractors?
Yes. Put them on the quote as their own lines, and record what they cost you on the job as materials, equipment rental, subcontractor, permit or other costs, so the job's profit counts them.
