What you need
- Your classes, with each teacher's name and the email they sign in with
- Your students (a spreadsheet works: first name, last name, grade, class, pronouns, parent names, parent email)
- How you grade: letters, levels 1 to 4, percentages or Exceeds / Meets / Approaching / Not yet
1. Sign in and check your template
Sign in at reportcards.nvisin.app with the email you signed up with. Open Settings (the gear) to upload your logo and add your school details and the name under the signature line. Under Template, check the grading scale, subjects, learning skills, attendance and comment rules. Starter setup adds the subjects and comment bank for your kind of school.
2. Add classes and students
On Students, add your classes and students, or paste your spreadsheet: new class names make classes. A teacher sees only the classes with their sign-in email.
3. Start the term
On Terms, add the term ("Fall 2026") with its dates, then move it to Writing when teachers can start.
4. Write the cards
On Writing, each class has a grid of students and subjects that works like a spreadsheet: type a grade, press Enter to move down, then Save grades. Open a student's card for comments, using the comment bank: phrases filled in with the student's name and pronouns. When a card is finished, the teacher hands it in.
5. Review and publish
Move the term to Reviewing. On Review & publish, approve each card or send it back with a note, or use Approve all ready. Then Publish all approved, and print every card or send each family their link.
Common questions
Can a published card be changed?
An owner can unpublish it, fix it and publish it again. Until then, parents see the card exactly as it was published.
A link was sent to the wrong person. What do I do?
Click New link on the student's page. The old link stops working at once.
