Getting started with Parent Progress Reports

Set up Parent Progress Reports: your details, students and tutors, logging sessions, goals and scores, and sending the monthly report.

What you need

  • Your students (a spreadsheet works: name, level, subjects, parent name, parent email, parent phone, tutor email)
  • Your tutors and the email each one signs in with
  • A few goals per student, if you track them

1. Sign in and check your settings

Sign in at progress.nvisin.app with the email you signed up with. Open Settings (the gear) to upload your logo and add your business details, which show on every report. Check the subjects you teach, the usual session length and the message at the top of the parent page. Starter setup holds these for what you teach; load another one any time.

2. Add your tutors and students

Invite each tutor under Settings: a tutor sees only the students they teach. On Students, add students with their subjects, tutor, parents and lesson days, or paste your spreadsheet.

3. Log sessions

Today lists everyone with a lesson that day. Tap Attended, type what you covered and any homework, pick the effort from 1 to 5, and save the whole day at once.

4. Add goals and scores

On a student's Goals tab, add a few goals. A goal can be measured (a test score, reading level or grade) with a target: each score you add draws a chart that shows on the report.

5. Send the monthly reports

On Reports, click Prepare this month's reports. Each one fills in from the month's sessions and goals. The tutor adds a comment and next month's focus and marks it ready; an owner sends it.

6. Send parents their link

Copy the student's link from their Overview and text or email it. Parents see the latest report, past reports and goals with no account, and can send you a short message.

Common questions

Can I change a report after it is sent?

A sent report keeps its numbers. An owner can take it back, change it and send it again.

A link was sent to the wrong person. What do I do?

Click New link on the student's page. The old link stops working at once.
