In 15 minutes your first job will be on the schedule with its quote written, ready to print as a PDF and send.
What you need
- Your business details as they go on quotes and invoices, your labour rate and your tax rate
- Your crew's names and what an hour of each person's time costs you (skip this if you work alone)
- One real job: the customer's name, phone, email and address, and when it starts
Your first 15 minutes
Five steps, in this order. Each takes a few minutes. When you first sign in at jobs.nvisin.app, the Welcome page walks you through the first four, one at a time, and saves each one as you go.
1. Pick the kind of work you do
Click the closest match, for example Electrical, Roofing & exteriors or Lawn care & landscaping. That fills in your job types, a starting labour rate, payment terms, the notes on quotes and invoices, and a starter price list. You can change all of it later in Settings.
2. Add your business details
Fill in Business details (name, address, phone, licence or tax number) as you want them printed. Set your Labour rate (price per hour on quotes), the Tax name (for example "Sales tax") and the Tax rate %. Click Save and continue.
3. Add your crew and first customer
Add each crew member's Name and Cost per hour, meaning what an hour of their time costs you, including payroll extras. It's only used to work out each job's profit, never printed. Working alone? Click Skip for now. Then add your first customer, for example "Fernhill Dental, 22 Larch Street", and click Add customer and continue.
4. Schedule your first job
Fill in What's the job (for example "Back fence replacement"), pick the customer and type, set the Start and Finish dates, and tick who's on it. Click Put it on the schedule. It now shows on Schedule and on Today.
5. Write the quote
Open the job from Today and go to the Quote & invoice tab. Add lines with + Labour, + Materials, + Other or + From your price list…, then click Save quote. Click Print quote and choose "Save as PDF" in the print window. Attach the PDF to an email or text it to your customer.

Moving a job along
Each job has one button for its next step: Mark as quoted, Won: schedule it, Start the job, Mark as done, Mark as invoiced, Mark as paid. A quoted job also has Lost. To set any other status, click Edit and change Status. Today's Needs attention list shows jobs done but not invoiced, quotes with no answer and invoices past due.
Invoices
Print invoice appears on the Quote & invoice tab once the job is marked done. Save it as a PDF and send it yourself, then click Mark as invoiced, and Mark as paid when the money arrives. An invoiced job past its due date shows as overdue.
Time, costs and profit
On a job's Time & costs tab, log hours, materials and other costs. Profit is the quote's subtotal, minus the hours logged times each person's cost per hour, minus the materials and costs you logged. Your cost on a quote line is never printed. It shows your margin before the work starts.
Settings and price list
Click the gear to open Settings. Under On your quotes and invoices, change your business details and the notes at the bottom. Under Numbers and money, set the job number prefix, tax, labour rate and how long quotes and invoices last. Click Save settings. Build your Price list with Add a line.
Crew and users
Crew don't sign in. They're only used for the schedule and profit. To let office staff into Job Manager, invite them under Settings → Users. Staff can add and edit. View-only users can only look. Owners can also change settings and delete jobs.
When your plan ends
You can still sign in and see everything, but not change anything. An owner restarts it under Settings → Plan & billing.
Common questions
Can I email a quote or invoice from Job Manager?
Not yet. Print it, choose "Save as PDF", and attach the file to your own email or text.
A job fell through. Should I delete it?
Mark it lost instead, to keep the history: click Lost on a quoted job, or Edit and set Status to Lost. Delete removes the job with its lines, hours and costs.
Where do I get help?
Click Help & support inside the tool.
